The main perk of being a Family Medicine practice is our ability to provide your entire family (ages 6 and up) with primary medical care. Our goal is to use proactive and direct treatment to maintain your health at its peak. Standard care includes, but is not limited to, annual physicals, immunizations, EKGs and most other typical office visits. We offer direct messaging communication through our patient portal and, in the event of urgent medical need, the ability to contact the on call physician after hours.

Any condition that lasts for more than a year and requires ongoing medical care is classified as chronic. Our office manages many patients with chronic conditions; type 2 diabetics, COPD, heart disease, asthma and stroke are some of our most common. In the event that a chronic disease progresses to the point of needing constant monitoring, we offer Chronic Care Management (CCM) services. The CCM program enrolls you to be contacted monthly by a trained Nurse Practitioner to help you manage your condition without needing to spend all of your time in offices or emergency rooms.

An acute disease is a condition that appears and rapidly progresses, but also only lasts for a short period of time. Viruses, bacterial infections, or non-emergency injuries are examples of acute conditions. Our office strives to keep open availability for same day appointments built into our schedule. We know that for many acute conditions, the last thing you want to be told is to come in next week. In the event of our same day slots becoming overbooked, our providers do not think twice about increasing their workload to squeeze in an acute case. Our office is now proud to offer video visits as well. Many conditions can be assessed and treated from the comfort of your own home.

Colds and Flu in the Family Household

Total Family Healthcare can save you time and money from going to the emergency room. Most minor injuries such as evaluations for fractures, lacerations, cuts, sprains, and more can be performed in our office instead of the hospital. We will do our best to evaluate you, but there is a limit to how much can be done for severe injuries. If we determine you require more resources to properly treat your injuries, we will refer you to the emergency room.
