Frequently Asked Questions

Insurance participation may change, and benefits vary by plan. Coverage should always be verified with your insurance carrier before your visit.

Not always. Some carriers have specific products or networks that may not be in network with our practice.

Example:

  • We accept many BCBS plans, but not certain “My” plans.
  • We accept Cigna Commercial, but some affiliated networks are excluded.

Please verify your specific plan.

Yes. We will verify your insurance is active. It is the patient’s responsibility to understand how their co-insurance and deductibles will affect the payment due at the time of service. We encourage all patients to verify and understand their coverage with their insurance carrier before scheduling or arriving for an appointment.

If your plan is not listed, please call your insurance carrier. Some plans may be accepted on a case-by-case basis or as secondary coverage.

We recommend contacting your insurance provider before making your appointment so they can explain your plan's eligibility requirements and benefits.

Prescription refills for established patients of Total Family Healthcare are routinely issued during our regular office hours. You may request a refill using our patient portal or by calling Total Family Healthcare at (352) 394-4237 during business hours. Prescription refill requests are normally processed within three business days. It is very important to anticipate your refill needs to avoid an interruption in your medication therapy.

The cost for an immigration physical is $300, plus any additional fees for lab work or vaccines that may be required. A $100 deposit is collected when scheduling your appointment, and the remaining balance is due at the time of your visit.

  • Because lab tests and vaccines vary based on individual needs, any additional charges will be discussed with you during your appointment.

Once all required labs and vaccinations are completed, we will prepare your I-693 paperwork. The doctor will review and sign the form, and you will be given the opportunity to review the completed packet. The original paperwork will then be sealed for submission to immigration, and a copy will be provided for your personal records.
